If you haven't discovered the arts district in Castleberry Hill...where the hell have you been? From peters to chapel ave., there is a hidden treasure trove of art galleries/lofts to explore. Every second Friday is the officially designated time of the Castleberry Hill art stroll. There's a little section of art lofts in the cut that I like to call art row-- it basically consists of three or four galleries in that are literally next door to each other-- each with stunning works of art. There's abstract pieces, sculptures, photography--truly something for everyone. Not to mention there are a number of boutiques, bars, and barbers in the area so there is lots more to explore!
Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of red. BUT, it is the holiday season, and I almost feel pressured to wear something, anything red. I have to say, the dresses I picked below are making a very strong case for the color, and they're perfect for holiday office parties, outings with friends, or for eating Christmas dinner with family. My personal favorite is the v-neck velvet skater dress. I can imagine it paired with a nice winter coat, semi-sheer black tights, and a pair of platform heels. But choose any of these dresses below, and you'll be cute and comfy on Christmas.
Emily Weiss, the CEO and mastermind of Glossier, the beauty brand that's blowing up your Instagram and Pintrest feed, hosted a holiday happy hour and meetup at one of my favorite spots in the city, Ponce City Market.
Hosted with Madewell, there was great music, Prosecco, and hors d'oeuvres--but the pièce de résistance was the Glossier Mask Duo Set, a gloriously packaged limited edition holiday gift set (designed by the so talented Adriana Deleo) that features the much raved about Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy pack AND the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask.
Included in the set are 12 individually sealed pods of the face masks along with an embroidered spa headband. If you're a sucker for branding, packaging, and the signature Glossier hue of pink (which Pantone just announced Rose Quartz as the 2016 color of the year...Coincidence? I think not!) this set is definitely a collector item for you! The angels are truly belting out some heavenly tunes because glowing, healthy skin is always in, especially during this festive season. I couldn't walk away without adding the set to my growing Glossier collection-- the boy bro and balm dotcom have quickly become staples in my beauty routine. The beauty gods and the Glossier team have truly outdone themselves with this Christmas miracle. Cheers to glowing Glossier skin!
What do you get the woman who has everything? These Christmas Gift/Splurge Ideas are so stylish and special, they are sure to make her smile, or at least put a sparkle in her eye. Take this beautiful Janessa Leoné hat for instance....JUST LOOK AT IT! If green is the color of envy, just imagine how jealous everyone will be when all of your outfits are on point because of this hat. I'm going to buy it, and wear it with everything. Don't even get me started on this super luxe Acne Canada scarf, I mean come on...I want one in every single color. EVERY COLOR. This Zara bag is reminiscent of a Chanel bag that is just to die for, but it's so affordable in comparison to the price of the designer. If all else fails, most girls love anything skincare or beauty related-- they make really thoughtful gifts that she probably wouldn't have purchased herself. Check out some of my beauty wishlist items here.I hope my enthusiasm for these special items has helped you generate some gift ideas! If you're still stumped, everything is linked!
